FREE MILK, DELIVERED

Are you a childminder or run a nursery in England or Wales? Each child you look after under 5 qualifies for a free daily allowance of milk under the NMRU Nursery Milk Scheme. Take away the hassle and get it delivered with McQueens.

MILK IN THE FRIDGE FOR 7AM

Looking after kids is a busy life. From tantrums to Teletubbies, it’s non-stop- and once the day is over, the last thing you want to deal with is that pile of admin waiting for you…

Let us take care of theΒ milk. As you’ll know, any children you look after under the age of five qualifies for a daily allowance of milk.Β

Right now you might not be enrolled in the free milk scheme, and paying for it- or you might be getting reimbursements by scanning and uploading receipts. Either way, it’s a hassle!

Let us take care of it all- faff free and cost free, with delivery right to your doorstep. That’s right, here at McQueens we deliver milk to nurseries and childminder all across England and Wales as part of the Government funded ‘NMRU’ scheme, also known as the Nursery Milk Scheme.

Β We will, for no cost, deliver your milk up to five times a week- and we’ll take care of all admin and billing with the government, leaving you to put your feet up during nap time.

GOODBYE RECEIPTS,
HELLO PLAYTIME!

All we need are regular confirmations of number of children under 5 in attendance to confirm delivery levels, as per the Nursery Milk Scheme rules. It’s completely faff-free.

The milk? That comes from a co-operative of farmers around the UK, which is bottled at our very own dairy, before being delivered straight to your door- it can’t get fresher than that!

Your NMRU delivery will arrive for 7am up to five times per week as required, and you can choose to have your deliveries with plastic bottles, or returnable glass bottles- perfect for doing your sustainable bit for the planet!

WHY US?

McQueens delivers across the UK, in most major towns or cities so nobody need miss out. And, with 25 years experience, you can count on us to be there in all conditions!

Plus, you are directly supporting UK farmers as it’s their milk that’s processed and delivered by us at our own dairy. Know that in getting deliveries from McQueens, you are also ensuring farmers get a fair price for their produce.

So, if you want fantastic freshΒ freeΒ milk at your settings doorstep, then look no further.

You may be reimbursed for any pasteurised cows’ milk, including whole and semi-skimmed, under the Nursery Milk Scheme. The milk can be organic.

A claim made via an agent will not be reimbursed until it has been validated against your attendance data.

The Nursery Milk Scheme funds milk for approximately 1.5 million children under 5 years old. This is a Government funded scheme, costing the Department of Health and the Scottish and Welsh Governments approximately Β£70m per year.

The Secretary of State for Health has a statutory obligation to provide the Nursery Milk Scheme. The Nursery Milk Scheme is governed by The Welfare Food Regulations 1996.

Β

The Nursery Milk Scheme is operated by the Nursery Milk Reimbursement Unit (NMRU) on behalf of the Department of Health. It entitles children under 5 years who attend approved day care facilities to receive 189ml (1/3 pint) of milk each day, free of charge. This includes both childminders and nurseries.
