Three Milks, Three Awards
We’re delighted to share some fantastic news: our Organic Whole Milk, Semi-Skimmed Milk and Skimmed Milk, all presented in our traditional glass bottles, have each been awarded a prestigious Great Taste 1-star accolade.
To receive a Great Taste award is a significant achievement, particularly given the rigorous judging process behind every star. With more than 15,000 food and drink products entering this year’s competition from 116 countries around the world, earning three awards is something we’re incredibly proud of.
A Recognition of Great Taste
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, Great Taste is recognised as a trusted mark of quality by food lovers, retailers and producers alike. Rather than being influenced by branding or packaging, Great Taste judging puts one thing above everything else: taste.
Every product is blind tasted, with packaging removed, and assessed through a robust, layered judging process. This year, judging took place over 105 days, with more than 800 judges involved in putting products to the test.
Our three milk products were assessed on their own merits, with the judges focusing on the quality of the product itself.
What does a Great Taste 1-star mean?
A Great Taste 1-star is awarded to products that judges consider to be “simply delicious.”
It recognises products that deliver excellent flavour and demonstrate a clearly enjoyable, well-crafted taste. Around 25–30% of entries receive a 1-star award each year, meaning that every star represents a product that has successfully passed a rigorous blind-tasting process.
For us, receiving a 1-star award for Organic Whole Milk, Semi-Skimmed Milk and Skimmed Milk in glass bottles is a wonderful endorsement of the quality and flavour we strive to deliver every day.

What Makes Great Taste Judging Different?
Great Taste’s judging process is designed to remove as much subjectivity as possible.
Judges assess products from a technical and objective perspective, considering factors such as balance, depth, aroma, texture and ingredient quality, while keeping taste as the primary focus.
Depending on the product and its journey through the judging process, each entry can be assessed by between eight and 24 experts.
The result is an award that isn’t simply based on first impressions. It reflects the combined assessment of experienced food professionals who have tasted the product without knowing its brand or packaging.
A Stamp of Approval Consumers Trust
Great Taste is more than an award for producers. It is also a recognised signpost for shoppers.
The Great Taste logo is recognised by 58% of UK adults, while research from YouGov in December 2025 found that 74% of those adults say a Great Taste award makes a product more tempting, 73% consider the logo a trustworthy recommendation, and 54% use Great Taste as a way of discovering new products.
That makes these awards particularly meaningful to us. They provide our customers with an independent indication that our milk has been tested and recognised for its flavour.
